Welcome to Studio Art!  Studio Art will introduce you to the foundations of art including:  line drawing, perspective, value, design and color theory.  These skills will be explored using a wide variety of art-making materials including paint, charcoal, pen and ink, printmaking, clay and mixed-media.  In addition to improving your artistic skills, you will fine-tune your critique skills through the discussion of class artwork, as well as the work of historical and contemporary artists.  Writing about artwork will also be explored as we learn to analyze artwork both contextually and formally.
