Course Policy
Graphic Design is a half-year course (0.5 credits) that introduces students to the basics of designing in Adobe Illustrator. A variety of digital communication images will be created as students utilize their understanding of the Elements and Principals of Art. Students will learn about Illustration careers and combine their knowledge of Art and Design with new techniques in the graphic design program to produce a variety of projects including drawings, buisness cards, poster and magazine layouts and company branding. Students will build upon their skills in composition, layout and color theory as they learn about the Fundamentals of Design. Whether it is to attract attention, inform, persuade or inspire, the graphic design industry specializes in visual, creative problem-solving.
