Dear Students (and parents!), 

Welcome to English and room D-7! My name is Mrs. Schebesta and I am so happy to have you here. I'll give you a bit of history on myself, starting with how I landed here at CCHS. Many, many years ago now (can you sense my sarcasm?) I completed my Bachelors degree at SUNY Oneonta, shortly thereafter I earned my Master’s degree at SUNY New Paltz, and, well, the rest is history. This is actually my eighteenth year teaching secondary level English, and seventeenth year teaching here at Cornwall Central High School. I am in shock that I have been teaching for this long already, but, as always, I'm thrilled to be back at school for another school year. I'm not only a teacher however, I am also a Teacher Consultant for the Hudson Valley Writing Project. What that means is that I help run professional development courses for other teachers, and in addition (and this is my favorite part) help run creative writing camps for awesome young people like yourself. Side note: If you are a creative writer or want to be, let me know; this is something you would be interested in and their are scholarships :).

There is so much more to say, like the fact that I can't wait to get to know who YOU are, and dive into this school year's journey together. For now, I will simply say thank you for visiting my website, and the best is yet to come!
