Behavior and Expectations for the classroom
Class Expectations
Respect will be given and received by every person in the classroom. Each student will be put in a position to be successful. There are a few general rules that must be followed in the classroom at all times.
1. Be respectful to everyone and everything in the classroom.
2. Be in your seat and prepared when the bell rings.
3. Be engaged in class and complete classwork IN CLASS.
* When any of these rules are broken, consequences (warning, contact home, referral.) will follow.*
Cell Phone & Earbud/headphones Policy
CCSD’s Code of Conduct contains a cell phone policy of “off and away”. As the policy emphasizes, students' cell phones need to be off and away so that we are offering an optimal educational atmosphere for learning.
Students will be asked to place their cell phones into a cell phone holder in the front of the room each day. They will have a numbered pouch assigned to them. Students who do not comply will have the following consequences:
1st offense: warning & email home
2nd offense: teacher phone call home and a teacher consequence
3rd offense: referral
Earbuds/headphones are to be taken off and out during instruction.
