Class Expectations
Students are expected to arrive at class on time with materials needed for each class meeting. (i.e. charged chromebook or chromebook and chromebook charger, pen/pencil, worksheets) They are encouraged to actively participate in class activities and discussions, as well as daily formative assessments. They are also expected to treat everyone in the class with respect. If they are absent, it is your responsibility to gather and complete all missed assignments. Cutting class will not only result in disciplinary action, but more importantly results in lost instructional time.
Cell Phone Policy
As per the Cornwall Central School District Code of Conduct: “the use of electronic devices such as, but not limited to, smartphone/cell phones, and personal music devices are not permitted in the class or during emergency situations or drill without the permission of a staff member”. Students must keep personal electronic devices (smart phones, cellphones, earbuds, headphones, etc.) off and away throughout the entirety of the class. If you do not adhere to the CCHS cell-phone policy, you will be subject to consequences as outlined in the CCSD Code of Conduct. The first violation of the district cell-phone policy will result in a verbal warning, the second will result in a phone call home, the third violation will result in a disciplinary referral.
