Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial

No deadline, reviewed in order of arrival

This scholarship is available to residents of New York State in good academic standing and demonstrates financial need. They must be children/dependents of someone who currently receives disability benefit payments. 

American Water Inclusion and Diversity Scholarship

Deadline: January 31, 2025

This scholarship is available for students who self-identify as a member of at least one of the following underrepresented groups: American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Multiracial or Female (any race or ethnicity). These students must be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study, pursuing a certificate or degree in a non-medical STEM or business-related field, at an accredited four-year college for the entire upcoming academic year.

Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: February 8, 2025

This scholarship is available for students who are a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident and demonstrate financial need.

Greg Saunders Legacy Program Scholarship

Deadline: February 17, 2025

This scholarship is available for high school seniors whose parents/guardians are employees of a Simon Property Group.

Mid-Hudson ABSO Student Education Scholarship

Deadline: February 28, 2025

This scholarship is available for graduating students in good academic standing planning to study in the field of business, finance, and/or education.

Horatio Alger Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2025

This scholarship is available for high school juniors who exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree within the United States in the fall following their graduation date.

Rick Phillips Legacy Scholarship

Deadline: March 3, 2025

This scholarship is available for a graduating Safe School Ambassador who embodies what it means to be an Upstander; using their heart, voice, social influence, and acquired intervention skills to stand up and speak up when they witness mistreatment.

The Cristin Ann Bambino Scholarship

Deadline: March 7, 2025

This scholarship is available to a college or technical school-bound special education student with an active IEP or 504 plan to reward him or her for working through special challenges to complete high school and obtain acceptance to a college or university.

The Paul Jensen Scholarship

Deadline: March 7, 2025

This scholarship is available to a student who has excelled in design in his or her high school career, and who wishes to pursue this path in college.

The Joseph Goncalves Student Humanitarian Scholarship

Deadline: March 7, 2025

This scholarship is available to a student who demonstrates an involvement and works for a cause or organization that promotes social justice, equal opportunity, relief of human suffering, or other aspirations generally understood to be within the meaning of humanitarian activity throughout their high school career. This is only open to a graduating senior who plans to attend college in New York State.

The Stanley Curtis Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 10, 2025

This scholarship is available for students aspiring to major in vocal studies at the college level.

Doherty-Package Pavement Company Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students whose parent/guardian is an employee of the Package Pavement Company Inc., Red Wing Properties Inc., Scarsdale Acres Inc., or Stormville Trucking Inc. companies for at least three years. These students must demonstrate the ability to succeed in college, demonstrate financial need, and have involvement in volunteer activities or employment.

Elena Eckert Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for graduating seniors from Orange County and must be a child or grandchild of current or former armed forces members, police officers or corrections officers. These students must have a B- or above grade point average.

Hudson Valley Guns and Hoses Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students in Orange County who must be a paid or volunteer firefighter or law enforcement officer (or an immediate relative of a paid or volunteer firefighter or law enforcement officer). These students must plan to major in Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, Public Administration or Emergency Medical Services/Professions.

Kathleen H. Zwissler Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students who are an Adams Fairacre Farms employee or member of an employee’s immediate family. These students must maintain a B or better average.

Lorien Niniel and Howard Robert Kimlin Scholarship Fund

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students who are going to attend Dutchess, Orange or Ulster Community College or Marist College who graduated from an Orange County high school. These students must plan to study Art, International Business, or the Spanish language abroad in Spain for a semester or program. 

Luigi and Elisa Panichi Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students whose parent/guardian must be an employee of the Panichi Hold Corp. d/b/a/ Royal Carting Service Co or Valley 82 Holding Corp d/b/a/ Welsh Sanitation Service. These students must demonstrate the ability to succeed in their chosen course of study, have involvement in volunteer activities or employment, and demonstrate financial need.

Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students within Orange County which is covered by the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation. These students must plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school and have been affected by breast cancer in some way.

Ronnie Berg Drummers Scholarship

Deadline: March 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for students who are entering a two or four-year college or university full-time and must have a passion for playing the drums.

Joyce A. Betros Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2025

This scholarship is available for graduating seniors who are a TEG member or have a parent/guardian who is a TEG member. These students must be graduating from an Orange County high school and have demonstrated academic achievement.

Jean DeGrace Crandall Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2025

This scholarship is available for students who are the child of a migrant farmworker (with a preference for those from Mexico) with a history of migration to Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, or Westchester Counties in New York State. 

Hudson Dermatology Scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2025

This scholarship is available for high school seniors from Orange County that Hudson Dermatology serves and must have been accepted or enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in the medical field.

Kiwanis Club of Newburgh Scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2025

This scholarship is available for high school students involved in their community.

Hudson Valley Latino Scholarship

Deadline: April 4, 2025

This scholarship is available for a high school senior who is of hispanic origin and is graduating from a high school in Orange County.

Emily Akers Scholarship

Deadline: April 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are in extreme financial need.

NARTA Scholarship

Deadline: April 15, 2025

This scholarship is available for high school seniors who plan to major in Education in college.

Masonic War Veterans Beth-El Post 29 Scholarship

This scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Orange County with a military affiliation.

This scholarship is available to a CCHS graduating senior who demonstrates the characteristics that Attorney Bill Larkin was known for: leadership, community service, and above all kindness and respect for everyone he encountered.

Cornwall Central School District Board of Education Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a graduating senior who exhibits exceptional service to their community, has overcome challenges and has a passion for their future.

The CJM Plumbling-Kieran McGann Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Cornwall Central High School graduating seniors who must be a 2 year CTEC program student.

Kathy and Tony Ferraro Riverfest Scholarship

AES Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship is available for high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. It is based on a student's character.
